Handmade Bags, Judaica & Other Accessories

Many items featuring repurposed & rescued textiles

The Beginning

E.P. Etc. started during the pandemic when I made masks for my community, including see-through masks for lip-reading. After the pandemic, I took a hiatus from E.P. Etc. to pursue full-time work as a developer and analyst in addition to my writing (my other avocation).

Rescued and Repurposed Fabrics … and Remnants

Items currently available are mostly created from “deadstock” and “destashing.” Deadstock is a fabric that is now longer available “off the bolt,” and is generally purchased from other small business sellers through sites like Etsy and ebay. Many of the fabrics currently shown are my own: fabrics I’ve had for quite some time and were either gifted or purchased. I’ve also had good luck at one of our regional “odd lots” chains in acquiring large cuts of upholstery fabric for the purple expandable storage bags. This fabric has been a great find: it’s washable, dries quickly, and is easily re-treated to be water repellent. I buy it every time I see it and use it for the Expandable Storage Bags (small).

Recently I was able to acquire 92 pounds of used sample from a local furniture store. This included leather and a variety of patterns. I’m excited about creating items from this find and will post as they are completed.

Some items do require off-the-bolt fabrics, such as linings for bags or custom-made items.
