Many items featuring repurposed & rescued textiles

What forms of payment do you accept?

E.P. Etc. accepts PayPal, Mastercard, Visa, Discover and Venmo. If using Venmo, please list as a personal purchase.

epetc.store is a WordPress site using WooCommerce payment plugins. I do not personally collect payment information over the website. Every effort has been made to fully utilize the platform and plugins’ security features to protect your data. When I am at craft fairs, I process payments either via the Venmo app or Square. I will not personally retain credit card information.

Can I wash my item in my washing machine?

Unless otherwise indicated on the item itself, please do not launder, for several reasons. First, not all fabric content information is available to provide the best laundering instructions for household machines (temperature, cycle, drying method). Please remember you may be purchasing an item constructed from gifted, rescued or repurposed fabric. Secondly, many items have hardware, buckles, d-rings and other metal components that may cause undue wear and tear or even some damage to your washer or dryer. These metal components may also damage any clothing or other items you wash with them.

What are your shipping rates?

Shipping rates are subject to change without notice. However, if you hear rumblings that USPS or UPS are changing rates, odds are I will have to increase my rates as well.

USPS does adds a surcharge for large packages, so please keep that in mind.

What is your return policy?

Returns for a refund will be honored within 30 days of purchase, given that the item has been used as intended and within reason and the return is either for a defect of production or the item is in a condition that it can be resold. Examples of use without reason would be filling bags with more items than they can reasonably be expected to support or sharp or abrasive objects that could cause undue wear and tear, subjecting bags to extreme outdoor conditions if the bag is not indicated for rough or rugged use, laundering bags with bleach or harsh cleaners or contrary to label instructions, or other forms of misuse not listed. Stains, bleach or faded spots due to harsh chemicals, fabric tears or rips due to misuse are the customers’ responsibility; this list is not exhaustive.

Why do some items not have fabric content listed?

I’ve been inspired by a popular online sewist to use as many rescued and repurposed fabrics. Even though for some projects, such as bag linings, I use fabrics “off the bolt,” this is rare. Many times I use purchased closeouts, remnants, gifted sample swatches or even used household items (such as curtains, valences, tablecloths) in good condition. Items featuring repurposed or upcycled fabrics will be indicated on the site. These conservation efforts do mean that fabric content information is not always possible. When feasible, I will do burn tests on strands from the fabric, but I don’t consider this guaranteed information.
